Ms. Mautner started practicing law in Asia and Greater China in the early 90s with the New York firm Pillsbury Winthrop.  She joint the top UK Firm Freshfields 

thereafter, where she advised on a number of major power and infrastructure finance projects in China, including China's first BOT project - the $6.2bn EDF Laibin B power plant.  

 

Since 1998, Shao-Ying had been a regional General Counsel heading Asia Pacific or China legal functions for leading Global companies Tektronix (a Danaher Group

company), Diageo, the world's largets drinks company, and Nike for whom she won all its significant lawsuits in China, including what the Chinese Supreme Court deemed the “2006 IP Case of the Year.”  

 

As the regional GC at Diageo, Shao-Ying’s pragmatism contributes to the acquisition and integration of a listed Chinese white spirits company, in a complex and challenging legal and cultural environment. 

 

Shao-Ying is on the Advisory Board of Deheng Law Offices a major Chinese law firm with over 800 legal professionals and 25 offices across China, as well as 5 offices in New York, Paris and The Hugue.  

 

She has also been appointed the Legal Consultant to the China International Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector (CICCPS) - the Chinese national association privately-owned companies (POEs) under the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC).  ​Shao-Ying served as the Co-Chair of the Legal Committee at Shanghai American Chamber of Commerce

 

Shao-Ying's wealth of hands-on experience in China, her ability to work directly with business and management teams in providing pragmatic and sound legal counseling, and her extensive connections in China's business, government and legal circles have been tremendously benefiting her clients who she now advices on major cross-border transactions, litigations, and day-to-day operations in China. 

 

Shao-Ying is a graduate of Northwestern School of Law (J.D. 1992), Duke University Law School (LLM, 1988) and Wuhan University (Masters in Law, 1986 and B.A. in English, 1983).

Ms. Zhen started practicing law in Asia and Greater China since 2003, first with the international law firm Baker & McKenzie in Hong Kong and Beijing, where she advised on and managed, for a large number of multinational companies, their regional intellectual property protection projects and portfolios in Asia and China.  

 

Since 2011, Cindy Sui Qi had been the regional IP Counsel heading Asia and Greater China for Diageo, the world's largest drinks company, where she successfully launched the protection of  company’s global brands into China market and expanded the protection of Chinese JV’s brands into global markets; thereafter she took the role as the regional IP & Regulatory Counsel heading Asia, Europe, Africa and Greater China for The Hershey Company, one of the world’s largest confectionary company, where she initiated its anti-counterfeiting program which led big successes in China.  She work directly with the management teams of innovation, branding and marketing and JV companies in providing practical legal solutions to help their business succeed. 

 

Ms. Zhen's wealth of hands-on experience in regional and global IP rights portfolio management, IP rights acquisition, enforcement and litigation, and her ability to provide practicable legal solutions to business from overall IP strategy design to specific IP case handling have been tremendously benefiting her clients who are doing business in Asia and China. 

 

Cindy is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis (LLM, 2015), Hong Kong University Law School (LLM, 2006), Business Management School of the University of California (MBA, 1994), and Jinlin University (B.A in Law, 1990).
